The Port Gaverne Restaurant & Hotel make star-quality food in a gorgeous seaside setting, and deserved a bold and beautiful rebrand to reflect that.
Though The Port Gaverne Hotel has been with us for many years, in May 2014 it was taken over by new owners with an ambitious new vision for the beautiful place. The brief was to reposition the hotel as a destination restaurant that also offered great quality accommodation. The emphasis was all on the ultra-local food, the exquisite location and showcasing David Griffen’s beautiful photography.
We suited them up with some striking livery and menus, and booted them up with matching sites for desktop, tablet and mobile. Regular creative meetings with the client ensure web content and print material is kept fresh and relevant.
In 2015, the hotel asked us to expand our work, with a dedicated awards entry writing strategy including research and detailed writing, coupled with extensive press releases, competitions and socials posting. The result was a strong upturn in traffic, footfall and recognition with Port Gaverne winning multiple local and national awards including ‘One to Watch’ (Top 50 Gastropubs); Best UK Inn Top 6 (Great British Pub Awards) and Best Pub in Cornwall (National Pub & Bar Awards).
