Woodovis came to Voice in 2010, in search of a simpler, faster, more efficient new website for their luxury holiday park in Devon. The site had to convert more sales, and reflect the values of Woodovis – friendly, efficient and five-star. To save both time and money, it was crucial the firm were able to make updates to the site themselves, rather than have to wait on developers to make simple changes.
With a wide target market, there was naturally a huge amount of information spread all over the site. We needed to improve the customer journey to make finding that information a lot easier, and lead customers to booking faster. As for booking itself, our custom-built RMS system resulted in a vastly simplified booking process across all thresholds.
In order to get the best possible match for what was needed, we redesigned the site from scratch, rewrote it from scratch, and effectively rebuilt it from the ground up, in a fully custom WordPress build. Being built way back in 2010, this included making the site adaptive for mobile (as opposed to the more modern ‘responsive’ style, which was still in its infancy) with server-side technology – ensuring the user journey would not be compromised on different platforms.
Previous problems were made into attractive solutions, like the provision of multiple sliders to showcase all the park has to offer. Navigation was another prime concern, and a visit to the site will reveal the huge number of menu options – all custom built by Voice, to maximise the impact delivered by the wealth of information available. Easier for customers to navigate, but with a new intuitive back-end; simple for the client to update, with a common-sense, ergonomic WordPress interface.
